Google has announced they are changing the pricing structure of their photo and email storage, dropping the prices down to 20 GB for $5 a year (really good deal actually) up to 16TB for $4096 a year. While most people are fixating on the fact that Google is offering 16TB and how could anyone trust Google with that much data, people seem to have missed their slight little joke on the pricing scheme.
1TB is $256, 2TB is $512, 4TB is $1024, 8TB is $2048, and 16TB is $4096. Yes, they are powers of two. It should make it easier to do the dollar per megabyte calculation!
Maybe I'm just a nerd.

So today is Google's official 11th birthday. In internet years, that's ancient! Fortunately for them, I don't see Google getting dislodged as the search king anytime soon.
